We collaborated with Agb Events to create a large scale projection on Cairns City Library with local renowned artist Roland Nancarrow. We created a 12 minute animation of The Birds of Australia. A touring exhibition, showcasing the incredible world of Australia's birdlife. Presented on STORYBOX, an interactive storytelling cube, The Birds of Australia, brings to life the iconic bird illustrations of John and Elizabeth Gould together with First Nations storytelling and knowledge.

We collaborated with Agb Events to create a large scale projection on Cairns City Library with local renowned textile designer and artist Francoise Lane. Her gorgeous and compelling artworks are inspired by her connection to the Torres Strait Islands and her exploration of visual storytelling.
Originating from Kerriri (Hammond Island) in the Torres Strait, Lane’s artwork is an exploration of visually storytelling inspired by stories of connection to country. Her creative practice and artwork speak to the personal connection to the sea and marine life, to the nutrients it provides to those living above it and the coastal forests lining our shores. A beautiful, magical visual narrative of the importance of our waterways and the life sustained by it.

Projected on a Migaloo sculpture, this epic hand painted, frame by frame animation was commissioned for the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
This story is a journey of Migaloo the white humpback whale, seen through his eyes. Through his POV we see him travel from the Antartica to the Great Barrier Reef.
The technique of smudging each frame in photoshop across every piece of artwork, then importing into after effects was a labour of love!

We collaborated with Australian retailer, Big W and Zebrar to create “The Big Headed Bilby”, a unique hybrid experience encouraging families to have fun and get creative during the school holidays.
Zebrar developed an interactive Facebook Messenger bot to guide artists through the journey. Artists follow along using simple crafts from home or purchase them online through Big W. Then they snap a photo of their creations through the messenger bot, and see their characters come to life!
Zebrar’s bespoke software removes the background from their photo, and using our custom programming algorithm, extracts the keyframe animation from the film and applies that animation to the users’ character. Each craft character is then rendered into the film, interacting with the prebuilt story to create each artist's unique mini movie, complete with personalised credits.
The Big Headed Bilby campaign was recognised by all major industry publications for innovation and creativity.
All the environments/animations were hand drawn and painted in Photoshop then put together in After Effects.

We collaborated with Agb Events to create a large scale projection on Cairns City Library of renowned artist, the late Arone Meeks, a Kuku Midigi man, raised in Yarrabah and El Arish, Mission Beach, Far North Queensland, his country being the area around Laura, Cape York.
Spirit Ark is based on Arone’s personal story, as navigated by the stars, the boat being both a symbolic vehicle allowing him to travel to the dreaming whilst making a connection with country, spirit and place. This is a fitting tribute to this man who has given the region so much from his artistic life.

Step into Paradise explores the compelling stories and unique vision of iconic Australian designers Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson. This first in-depth survey captures the dynamic energy of their creative journey over four decades.
Kee and Jackson have transformed Australian fashion with their colourful expressions of Australia's natural and cultural landscape, exuberant Flamingo Follies parades and the flamboyant excess of the Flamingo Park frock salon in Sydney's Strand Arcade.
Commissioned by the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney to create animated stories for the atrium section of the exhibition. Designed to be in darkness, the stories unfolded some of the important creative background to their later success. The work was animated in collaboration with Anna Fraser or Juli-anna as we are known.

The theme chosen this year was 'Joy to the World' revealed through nature. I collaborated with Anna Fraser to make this a dream-like journey of enchantment and imagined worlds. Fireflies lead us on our expedition through underground caverns, then rising up to the skies and returning to the ocean. Hand drawn and painted in Photoshop then put together in After Effects. The final animation was projected onto Sydney's biggest Cathedral. It ran from 7th to 25th of December. Starting each evening at 7:30pm and stayed on until midnight.
